As a child of immigrant parents the importance of giving back to the community was stressed. My parents encouraged me to pursue medicine, which led to my high school volunteer position in Medical Records at a local hospital, followed by a position as an EKG technician. In college I found biology and chemistry of great interest. The study of medicine seemed natural after that. I feel it is important to share my experience and knowledge with patients. Although my area of interest is in interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular disease, my practice includes all heart patients.
Adding to the Field of Cardiology
"I am excited by clinical research, new projects and new therapies available in cardiology. Through the San Diego Cardiac Center's Research Department I am able to, along with my patients, participate in the development of new and beneficial therapies."
